With every song self-penned, listeners are sure to catch a glimpse of her optimistic view of life. Her message is hope and that hope is embedded in each song.
It hasn't always been easy for Hoi, who has overcome many obstacles to get to where she is today. Raised as a Buddhist, Hoi found Christ at eleven years old. She faced relentless opposition because of her conversion, but she never gave up on pursuing what was important to her. Her passion for music even allowed her to overcome her fight with asthma.
When asthma threatened her every breath in her teenage years, she was almost forced to give up her dream of singing. "Asthma has taught me to appreciate every breath I take and it is nothing short of a miracle that I do what I do today."
